Usually the kids who had a tough time in h.s. enjoy college more. And, if you take a yr. off after h.s., you might get refreshed and more relaxed.

It's such a shame that parents don't surround their children w/ POSITIVE feedback and environment. I understand your frustration. I once had a teacher tell me i'd "end up in the gutter." How nice was that. And, even after all these years, i have not reversed my thinking on it: She didn't like the fact that i disagreed w/ her philosophy. I was never disrespectful, except i did fall asleep in one of her classes.

So, you just build your own SELF ESTEEM. You have a terrific start w/ Learning Strategies stuff and people there to help you. Don't forget'em when you grow up
