What about using the opening affirmations before as well during photoreading to provide your mind with some positive feedback that what you are reading is making an impression on your inner mind. I find that the counting etc allows my mind to wonder whether this PRing is doing anything. Occupying the conscious in this way supports the PRing process? What do the PR experts think of this?

If you find you can stay focused with the affirmations. Relax is an affirmation too

I find I do the chant and still think about why I'm photoreading. The point is if your mind wanders... is it wondering about the book. Are you asking questions or having thoughts about it? Notice it and allow yourself to return to whatever chant you devise. Since the average book will take 3 to 8 minutes to photoread it's nice training to gently bring your wandering mind back to the task you are focusing on. The ability to remain focused on the task at hand helps in other areas of study as well as activation too.

I'm certainly no PR expert, but here's something which helped me a lot with focussing on the PR process. I decided to focus on experiencing the entire process, immersing myself completely in the experience. So while I keep my purpose in mind whilst turning pages, I also make sure I'm physically and emotionally open to the possible experiences. It helps me to keep focussed on the process, certainly, because it becomes a lot more interesting! Sometimes, the "Why am I doing this?" still comes up, but far less often than it used to, and I'm much more able to deal with it.

Hope this helps.

Alex,
Thanks for the feedback. Your posts (and those of many other PRers)are very helpful and help me to further improve my PR skills. This forum motivates me everyday to keep on working on the PR skills. It is very encouraging to read about other's success stories as well.

I have PRd for 2 -3 months and have a 200 - 300 page book down in around 2hrs (going through all the steps).

Area that I need to work on is to fully trust the inner mind. Further suggestions on that are welcome as well.
Thanks
J

On trusting the inner mind try to keep it simple. When you responded to a gut feeling, a small voice in the head, a flash of an image or just knowing to do something. Notice the results. If you has a hit no matter how small beam about it. Enjoy it. That way your inner mind can hit you again with a postive insight. If at first seems to be a miss try it again.

You just got to pay attention to your bodies signals. Be careful of second guessing or using lodgic.

You can also check out some books on devloping intuition some have been mentioned a few times on the forum.

I prefer to believe that the positive affirmations after photoreading as a way of letting the information from the book 'sink in' to my brain. It reinforces the incubation process.

BTW, My supereading skittering dipping skills are improving. I think that by allowing the subconscious to lead the conscious mind through the pages helps a lot. Cuts my reading time by 75%.

And talk about direct learning. After photoreading 2 books on basketball I found myself better at scoring. It didn't happened straight away when I stepped on the court but rather improving at a tremendous rate.

Lastly, I believe that PhotoReading works for everyone as long as they have faith in themselves and the system. Of course, not putting too much pressure on yourself and keep an open mind helps too. I just started for less that 1 month and I have started to see results although there is not much of a spontaneous activation yet but I hope I could achieve that in the near future.
