ferwerda,
Interesting question. I ran the Twin Cities marathon two weeks ago and felt better than I have in the past four I've done. I attribute a great deal of this to listening to New Behavior Generator, and also to regularly doing Spring Forest Qigong.

Both have given me the ability to relax and focus. I love running and racing, but there is one thing I do not like about racing, and that is that I get very distracted by other people around me. I feel stress as soon as I feel someone running too close or I can hear footsteps behind me. I listened to NBG specifically with the purpose of staying relaxed and focused instead of stress. And it worked! I also was able to focus on feeling strong, and relaxed, which helped to run without feeling any pain. Of course, I do not recommend running through serious pain, but I've learned to listen to my body, and focus on staying relaxed. And I truly believe that I've been able to make these changes due to Paraliminals and practicing Qigong. Qigong, after all, is all about focus and discipline and well-being.
