It does not matter whether the book is thick or thin, large or small. I still use this method when photoreading because when you are not looking at the book per se, my page turning is extremely smoother and much more faster than staring into the crease. Plus, if pages clump together and they do, it has little or no effect on me thus I'm able to maintain state. Also my state is much more deeper than it is when in soft gaze and looking into the center crease of a book. I don't have to worry about eye divergence either, eventho my eyes diverge naturally. And I know a lot of you out there right now are going "WHOA"!!!!!!
