As far as activation techniques, Photoreading wins "hands down". Photoreading is by my opinion "superior" to Mental Photography. But I do use techniques learn from mental photography to enhance my photoreading sessions. 80% of my techniques are from photoreading, the other 20% is from subliminal dynamics, i.e. page turning, focusing above the book, relaxation prior to photoreading, the distraction index, & the eye chart drill.
