Yes, writing down words that you are attracted you are trigger word. You might be attracted to 'common' words like, duty, because you noticed how often the author used the word in the text or it seem out of the ordinary in some way.
Trigger words act as a starting point you may find only one or 2 help you get started with the activation process and while activating are drawn towards other more meaningful/words questions.
The best place to get trigger words are where the author has placed emphasis. Headings subheads... Italics or underline within the paragraphs. Word that you notice otherwise however common are also of value because you may be picking up the frequency of use hence the author has made some emphasis along this line.
