Reading and swimming seems has no relationship. I can experience Direct Learning but i can not use the main function on PR system. My main purpose was improve my exam grades with this system. I can't imagine that the system can improve my sport but not my acaedemic result.
My question mainly on the section of activate:
1. Do I need to read fast on the superead and dip process?I found difficult in superead and dip about 200-300 pages in 30secs.
2. In the exam system, i need to very familiar in the knowledge of the subject.
Seems that after quite a number of periods of superead and dip, (since the speed of reading was quite fast)I still can not get a familiar mind in my brian.
How many periods of activate process do u think is the best if i want to get a very familiar mind in my brain?
3. As i am a Hong Kong resident, I must learn English. Is PR a dictionary repeatedly can improve my standard of english? Also, PR some maths textbook repeatedly can improve my power in maths, can't it?
4. What about some example of calculation in Pure Maths or Physics notes?
It is difficult to superead and dip in one example because those example was step by step. How can I due with them?
5. Also, do those examples once myself or using the skills in PR, which can gain the most effective effect on learning?
Or do anyone have any other good method?
------------------------------------------
My HK A-Level Exam is the most important exam in my life. I must get good grades and enter my dream university. This is what I want. PR Whole Mind System is the only chance to lead me to join the group of elites.
Anyone who had my difficult experience please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

You mean, 30 minutes, right?

In order to help you, please
describe in detail how you are
doing each of the four main
activation techniques:

Mind Probing

SuperReading & Dipping

Mind Mapping

Rapid Reading

Repeat the 30-minute passes of Activation
techniques until you comprehend the information well enough to approach your exam with confidence.

Some, yes.

Also, PR some maths textbook repeatedly can improve my power in maths, can't it?

As long as you set your intention in the Prepare step to improve your problem-solving skills with math.

I would activate the individual section or chapter until you learn and comprehend the techniques you need to use in order to solve those math problems.

Or do anyone have any other good method?

I don't understand that last question.

OK I think I understand the last question. You want to know if you should PR the math examples, or read them the normal way. As Pete said, you should PR and activate the math texts that explain the problems. Then go through the examples the way you normally read.

To whom it may concern,
yes,it is near to my meaning.......
but i mean read the example in normal way AND THEN try the example once by myself.
(just like the step "restate" in the SQ3R skill)
Those examples are some maths or phy long problem questions.
My last question is:
either the method I state above or PR skill,
which is the best way to prepare the exam)??????

Thx.

Dana Hanson,
Yes, is 30 mins.
Do i need to read fast in that 30mins section?
Since I even find difficult to superead and dip about 50 pages in 30min. It is too fast for me.
Thx,

How long to your exam?

The best way is to use what you already know how to use and add Photoreading once you have the skill.

You need to learn photoreading first before it is better than the method you know. Adding the photoreading step (photoreading your textbooks once a day for a couple of weeks) will help improve on the other method.

If you have the time before the exams, learn the photoreading system, you will have more time to study, when you know how to photoread. However avoid trying to learn to photoread using the textbooks for your major exams. Learn to photoread first, then apply it to your studies.

Dana Hanson,
Mind Probing is a important process, isn't it ? But i find that i have no or just a little questions about the book. And the main problem is after Mind Probing I would forget the questions that i asked before when dipping.
Mind Mapping is a useful tool. But is there any lose if I don't draw a mind map during reading? In my reading habit, I do not draw mind map because it just improve little of my study effiency
Pls reply me as soon as possible, thx.

Right, learn photoreading first. When you know how it works and that it does work for you, then use it for studying. For now keep using the study methods you know.

About Superreading and Dipping
Are you find superreading and dipping difficult because you are Activating Textbooks? If so, for textbooks, do each chapter as if it is a book on its own. You can do as many 30 minute activation passes as you need till you understand the book/chapter.

About Questions
Turn the Chapter heading into a question. This helps you to start mind probing. Draw mind maps while you are learning the system it helps to pull out more questions and answer during activation and gives you something to review later. It also encourges you to remember what you found when you superread and dip. Use the tangerine technique, relax and tell yourself you will remember.
