Hi everybody. (Alex K, you're always welcome)
I’ve just finished my 5 day test, and it seems that the comprehension I had after activating the book is due to the many times a SR'ed and dipped the material - very consciously and subvocalizing all the words - instead of having real flashes from my inner mind. Disapointed, no, I just NOPS'ed .But, as some books are harder to activate than others,
Did you also notice how much time you have actually spent with the book? It was less time than you would use for regular reading.
Yes, some books are harder than others to comprehend. In fact prior to Photoreading there are a number of books that I avoided because they were harder to comprehend. My best comparision there is the book I did the experiment/test on. Without PR it would have taken me 13+ hours with pretty poor comprehension. It took me 3 hours (6 activation passes) to have a much better comprehension. However had the text been in English my activation would have taken much less time and I would probably have gotten all I needed to know consciously in about 45 miniutes to 1 hour. Inwardly I understood the topic... my conscious mind was slower on the uptake due to lack of experience.

1. Should I continue the five day cicle on this book until it gels, or
Add another activation pass in the form of a Rapid read. This being closest to regular reading will round out the book for you and finalise it.

2. I can go on another book and do the 5dtest again and so on with the other books, because that's the best way to activate for beginners, or
You can go on with another book at any time you want. The 5 day test helps you to use the Photoreading steps in sequence especially for activation. Give yourself permission to do as many activation passes as you want on any day.

3. this test is just to push the beginners on the road for the first activation time and now, I'm able to do differently: I can PR 1, 2 or 3 books a day, and activate maybe one or two a week using my own method; any ideas of methods?
The test is to help you to see the method of activation. You may photoread 1 to 10+ books a day whenever you want. Activating 1 or 2+ per week. For activation you apply Superreading and Dipping in 30 minute blocks/passes as you did for the 5 day test. Add mind mapping and after each pass add to the mind map, it helps you to see the comprehension building. Continue NOPS. As you spend less and less time with each book you begin to realise that something is happening, that somehow the information is already in the inner mind and that training the conscious mind to collect this information is done by using the manual activation techniques.

By the way,4. when SR'ing and dipping, I'd love to stop subvocalizing all the words, because: if I increase the speed, I guess it will keep my conscious mind away from the process and it will alow only my inner mind to do the task;
as I won't "understand nothing" (consciously), the comprehension I'll have will be for sure from the material I PR'ed and not from what I super..., actualy READ! Is That right?
During superreading and dipping we want our conscious mind to be aware of what we read, that is the purpose of manual activation to become consciously aware of the information. If you want a method to reduce subvocalisation just keep repeating one of the letters of the alphabet over and over (eg. a, a,)
quote:
5 If the comprehension seems not coming easily and soon using all those manual activation methods, will it come spontaneously after some time of PR'ing? Maybe when?
If comprehension seems difficult, loosen up, approach the book with a sense of curiosity rather than fear. Do more activation passes on the book to build your conscious comprehension. Remember to close the photoreading step with a sense of mastery, say the closing affirmations. When it comes to activation use the tangerine technique to get into the ideal state for reading. If you feel tense use the technique for entering Accelerated learning to relax and open your mind for learning. Play with it.

6. Finally, As I've read in some posts, to discern if it's time for dipping or not we have to be aware of everything within us. If I want to feel this or that feeling at the right moment, can I do it by stating after PR'ing or before SR'ing? What's an example of the sentence I have to say?Thank you for the precious attention.
Paulo.
You say the affirmations after photoreading the book. Close your eyes and say the affirmation statements (page 51 of the 3rd Edition PhotoReading English version). In the chapter on Photoreading subeheading close with a sense of mastery. Those affirmation help you to open your awareness of your mind body connection.
