I have just started with the PRsystem and I have a question regarding activation:

Once you have activated some material you PR and obtained some knowledge from your unconcious mind, are you sure that the information you retrieved is correct or is more like guessing, and how can you sense the difference between something you made up and information thats actually in the material?

Thanks in advance.

The information retrieved through manual activation is the same information you get from regular reading. Manual activation uses the book to bring the information to your conscious mind.

How is that so? After Photoreading, then the incubation period, you superread and dip.
The only thing that I remember is the information obtained through dipping utilizing the concious part of the mind, which is then placed in short term memory. I have no indication of information bubbling up from the other than concious mind when dipping using trigger words and from those, mind probing questions.

When you have spontaneous activation relating to a book you just know that the information came from the book... quite often a quick check/glance at the appropriate pages will confirm it.

We use the book as the trigger for manual activation. The information is already in our inner mind and we pull it to our conscious mind by superreading and dipping. This information comes to our conscious mind so much faster than regular reading and this is why, on average we can complete a book in 1/3 the time it takes to regular read, with the same or better level of comprehsion. By using the book to guide to the important information (we already know what that is because we photoread the book) using our questions and trigger words to guide us. Ironically this memory is stronger than our memory through regular reading. Mind maping has the benefit of helping with review for studying and exams.

The information doesn't really seem to bubble up... you just know that you know. When you try to answer the questions without having photoread the text you are often stumped, however answering questions after having photoread the text you seem to know stuff that you were not consciously aware of before. If you want to experience this spontaneous activation the best way to do that is to Photoread a book that someone else has read and is familiar with. After photoreading and letting the book incubate (overnight is best) have them ask you questions about the texts. Try multiple choice questions or even yes or no questions to get the information flowing.

Spontaneous activation is a case it happens when it happens. For text that we do want a conscious awareness of, the quickest path is manual activation. Your knowledge then of the text is often better than with regular reading because you can do as many activation passes as you feel is necessary. The repeated superreading and dipping of the pages builds a better comprehension of the text and just one regular read.
