For each person spontaneous activation will be an individual thing.
For me it has occured in a number of ways. Photoreading a book to find out if it is of any interest to me I found information that I felt I should give to my lawyer. I went back and read it and thought yes that information is what my lawyer wants continued photoreading the book and found it to be one long advertisement. On another occasion I just knew the answers, I was just asked the questions and I knew the answer only after I photoread a book on the subject.
Also I have photoread books with clear cut questions in mind and during photoreading had my mind tell me the answers. Only by superreading a few pages before I got the answer did I realise it was because I just photoread it.
If you want to experience spontaneous activation have someone quiz you about a book that you have photoread. Looking for hows and when and other clauses for spontaneous activation only limits it. You have a greater likelyhood of missing it if it doesn't meet up to preconceived expectations.
