http://www.pseudonumerology.com - Great system for remembering numbers, albeit sometimes slow. Once you learn it, though, you can get pretty fast - definately print out that little wallet sized card.
I like Alex's choice of books, and can personally attest to the Buzan book, although one of Buzan's methods concerning re-memorizing stuff asks for awkward times and requires a pretty high level of dedication and a knack for keeping an incredibly organized schedule (re-read info exactly one month later and things like that). The book is really informative, however, and the mindmapping stuff is worth the price of it alone.
The only thing is I've seen a version of the book without the color examples of the mindmaps, and I would heavily recommend finding a copy that does have it.
