Does anybody have a list of recommended books to improve memory and assist with spontaneous activation? Thanks

Actually a good place to start is with the books Paul recommended in his book page 102 he made some suggestions. The actual books will be what is readily available in your local library.

Just go in photoread a few of them trust your gut and take the one that feels most useful to you home for activation.

Books that help with activation would be those from the meditation, zen, intuition and psychic ability categories. Again go the the library (or bookstore) Photoread them and select the ones that resonate to you.

Recommending books could be limiting
however the following books might be helpful.

Mind Mapping by Tony Buzan - for activation
Memory books by Harry Lorayne or Tony Buzan

For developing intuition etc..,
books by Jose Silva and the Silva Method
Intuition by Laura Day and Marcia Emery
Psychic Development for Beginners by William W Hewitt is a good one to consider because it has some exercises for developing the senses to pay attention to body mind signals that correlate well with activation.

As already mentioned the best why to find the books that are useful to you Photoread them and see which one pulls you. Yes it might just be the colorful cover, however after previewing, photoreading postviewing a book in a book shop or library you do tend to know whether the book will help you.

I'd also like to submit some websites that are pretty good for information on mnemonics:
http://www.demon.co.uk/mindtool/memory.html - Pretty good site with lots of info.
http://www.pseudonumerology.com - Great system for remembering numbers, albeit sometimes slow. Once you learn it, though, you can get pretty fast - definately print out that little wallet sized card.

I like Alex's choice of books, and can personally attest to the Buzan book, although one of Buzan's methods concerning re-memorizing stuff asks for awkward times and requires a pretty high level of dedication and a knack for keeping an incredibly organized schedule (re-read info exactly one month later and things like that). The book is really informative, however, and the mindmapping stuff is worth the price of it alone.

The only thing is I've seen a version of the book without the color examples of the mindmaps, and I would heavily recommend finding a copy that does have it.

Cool beans.

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, by Stephen LaBerge

Lucid dreaming is a valuable tool that can definitely be used for dream activation. Lucid dreaming is knowing that you're dreaming...when you're dreaming. That means that you can direct and lead nearly all aspects of your dream world.

For PhotoReading, you can use a number of methods within your dreams to activate the books in your sleep! You can use The Matrix method, or watch it on t.v., or even become one of the main characters in the novel and then watch as you go through the entire story.

Good call, youngprer.
A cool method for fans of ST S9 might be to have your own Orb like the Bajorans had. Just open up your own "Orb of Knowledge" of "Orb of Activation". Let the knowledge flow effortlessly in. There really no limits on what method you could use.
I'm still working on improving my manual activation, so LD'ing will have to wait until I'm more proficient at that.

Lucid dreaming is a difficult skill to master, and although I've been working at getting it down for months, my progress is very slow as well.

However, I think that lucid dreaming, despite the fact that it has been given credit and has been mentioned here and within the Genius Code course from time to time, is underestimated. If you can eventually get to the point where you're having at least 1 or 2 per week, you can use that time to access vast information in incredibly short sessions from your inner mind.

When you're having a lucid dream, you have the most access to your inner mind that you could probably ever have.

Mastering that skill, I'd say, if more than worth your time. After all...you don't want to "sleep" the third of your life away that spend dreaming.
