The purpose of the photoreading system is to help you manage your studying better and faster. The only person you need to learn to photoread for, is you, so that you can make the best use of it.

Ideally avoid bringing up the subject with your parents. If they should happen to suggest that you have wasted your money on the course the only thing you can really say is that perhaps that is a life lesson you had to learn.

Disagreeing and trying to prove your parents wrong will only bring on more fustrations. It doesn't help you to learn to photoread and it doesn't help you to get along with your parents either.

If you want the system to work. Do it quietly. Devote some time everyday to the system 30 minutes is enough. Use the 5 day test/plan on a 200 page book that interests you. No school related text book, another book. Try that out and see. If you apply the 5 day test/plan to 1, 2 or 3 books in one month I am sure you will become relaxed enough to use the method for your studies.

Do what you can to return you thoughts to photoreading you could even add the statement "photoreading works for me" to the chant if you need postive reinforcement. I suspect that it is during activation that you experience more trouble staying focused. In this case I suggest you use music in the form of Mozart(stings are best) or baroque music playing in the backgound while activating. This style of music can help you to focus a little better. Remember to use your Personal Genius paraliminal (I doubt that you have the Anxiety Free one) and even if you only have the Memory supercharger when you pop that one in tell yourself that you want to remember all the success times where you performed well. Use it before activation in this way and you will probably notice an increase in confidence when you start activating your book.

Once you are relaxed enough you'll notice yourself applying the system to your studies. In the mean time the disagreement between you and your parent will probably have subsided.

Remember the only person that you want to learn the photoreading system for is you and you don't have to prove anything to anyone. So take the time you need and you will succeed.
