Kali is a Filipino art that combines weapons and empty hands combat. It's very unique in that it's a tribal art, as opposed to a military art like Karate and TKD. However, Kali was heavily influenced by the Spanish, who invaded the Phillipines, so it has elements of Spanish sword fighting mixed with indigenous weapons.
Bruce Lee was heavily influenced by his study of Kali. His former top student, Dan Inosanto, is now very big on teaching Kali with Jeet Kune Do. It's a very cool style and worth looking into if you have an instructor in your area. Many of the drills in Kali are incredible for improving your hand-eye coordination. In fact, after a few months of practice, I found that my ability to pick up the various different flow patterns accelerated rapidly. Now I pretty much feel like I can jump into any pattern, get it quickly, then break out of the pattern without losing flow. It's an interesting ability and I've never experienced it with training in any other art.
