That's a really good question and I hope others will join into discussing this topic with meaningful replies.
To answer your question from my perspective, I think its important to remember to keep an open mind on this subject and try not to draw conclusions too quickly. Although I haven't yet seen a clinical study of the effects of paraliminals and HPPs (Pete, if you're reading this let us know.)I bought some HPPs and Paraliminals because I had very good results with similar techniques when I was trying to quit smoking. Lately I've noticed that when I use the Paraliminals and HPPs consistently and follow the program the first thing to change is my thinking and my self image, action follows later, but the change is gradual. I don't beleive Paraliminals are like taking a magic pill and everything will get better, I think you have to have a real desire to change with a clear plan of action and be willing to experiment as Paul Scheele states in his NB book.
