Let go of everything you know about photoreading and attend the class with an Open Mind or a beginners mind.
To quote from page 122 of the PhotoReading book

Just let go of any preconceived ideas and attend the class with an open mind. It's the same as emptying ones hands to pick up something else, much easier to pick up more.
