This is something I've looked into, I don't have a complete grasp on this subject yet, but here goes! To start off, the Paraliminal (and HPP) method in based on Dr. Milton Erickson's double induction technique. This technique uses two seperate voices speaking into each ear simultaneuosly with different monologues. Putting it simply, the idea is that your subconscious or "other than conscious" mind will assimilate the information while your conscious mind won't. Milton Erickson is an important reference point for NLP practioners (I think Pete Bissonete and Paul Scheele are long time NLPers). Research on Paraliminals?
