The dots should be 0.5 to 1.5 inches apart or 13 to 30mm. It will probably depend on the distance you are away from your monitor. If you have the photoreading manual that comes with the home study course you will have a guide to the approximate distance apart. The are occasionally printed at the top edge of a random dot stereo as a guide.
If you place a couple of similar dots near the top edge, vertical center of your monitor you have an alternate guide.
