Hey, I had an idea. Is there any way to link something you are listening to while photoreading to later use to trigger or promote spontaneous activation or help manual activation? I mean, I dont want to give myself a crutch but if it works I think it would be cool.

Alexk warned me not to listen to music while PRing. He said that it distracts your mind and you cannot PR correctly. I think music can trigger spont. recall if you listen to the music with the correct theme as to the book you read.

Music can be used as a trigger. However a more successful method is to create a trigger using memories of your successful activations. Getting yourself back into that state with a personal trigger similar to snapping your fingers to get you back into that state.

Noobie your brainwaves are affected by music and for photoreading there is an ideal state you are trying to maintain. Heavy metal type music will pull you out of that state. If you insist on using music be very selective, you will notice that most people are partial to alpha/theta brainwave enhancing music. I considered your selection of "loud comp fans" a poor choice because of additional information you provided.

would quietly listening to binaural beats before, during, or after PR'ing help? if so, should i set it to alpha, or down deeper into theta? I've read in the www.bwgen.com comments (where the presets are) that some ppl have trained themselves to remain conscious while running on deep delta waves. Would being that deep help more than theta (assuming one actually can stay awake at those frequencies)? Any and all comments appreciated.

Binaral beats are great for certain things, but not for PR/Studying because it becomes a crutch--just use the 3-2-1 method, tangerine technique, etc.

In answer to the other topic, yes it is entirely possible to remain conscious during deep delta waves. I personally have gone lower than 1 Hz and remained fully conscious. When you are in delta, your body gets very warm because of the blood circulation. For more info, look up "Feel the power" under topic in the Paraliminal forum.

but can you use binaural beats with anchoring so that you can anchor it but it wont become a crutch? Then you could use the anchor and not the beats.

What is the advantage of being in delta?

The advantage of being in Delta is, you're asleep. (Yes, even if you're awake). Therefore, the "you" in Delta is a very different "you" that's in Beta.

I'm not sure what kind of recordings have been done, corelating brain-wave patterns with brain-activity patterns, but one of my friends took advantage of a PET scan once. While in there, she entered the "Ideal Math State" where she goes in and "SEES" the answer to a complex problem. This isn't "normal math, only faster." This is applying a deep structural understanding of the Ordering Concepts which are expressed formally through math. (Yes, I'm getting Platonic here). Long story short, her prefrontal cortex turned OFF and her limbic center turned WAY UP. The people in the lab thought she had gone into a coma, although she could still talk (which is impossible under known neurological theory).

The central point of Centerpoint (if you'll excuse the pun), is to engage the listener in aware delta-level consciousness. At this point, the listener has much LESS access to the parts of their mind which make up "ego." Because "ego" and "shadow" are a dyad which create and strengthen each other, the listener gradually reaches deeper and deeper levels of "shadowlessness."

You could anchor it, yes, but as long as you do the 3-2-1 techniques, etc. you will be in the correct state. If you are worried about if you are in alpha, don't. I think that when I PR, I am in theta, but it still works.
Kaiden, yeah, you are right. When you are in delta, you think differently, but I don't know about being a completely different person...

Also, when in delta, your body heals itself. Delta sleep (we get about 1.5 hours of it) is important, but REM (rapid eye movement) sleep is the most important,` affecting your brain and body tremendously. When in REM sleep, you dream (usually about 1.5 hours)

Polyphasic sleep is a great way to induce lucid dreams, if you stay at it...

Ive used Holosync while Photoreading, with great success.
