Hello all,
I just want to share a really strange experience.
Background: Ive been photoreading for almost two years. I bought the book, and then bought the home study course. It took two tries for me to get it... but I finally got it!! I might even take the seminar one of these days.
EVERYTIME I photoread, I get intense vivid dreams that night. This is not random, but it is EVERYTIME. Last night was one hell of a dream.
I teach computer networking classes, and am working on getting the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert). I went to the local Barnes and Nobles - and photoread five books. Now, I have never done five books before.
That night, I had a vivid dream that seemed to have lasted forever. I realized I was dreaming (I have been playing with lucid dreaming for a while). It seemed to have lasted for 10-20 minutes. The really scary thing was that I couldn't stop the dream. Usually on lucid dreams if you get scared, you will snap out of it right away.
This time was different... I tried everything in the book. I tried willing myself out. I tried scaring myself out of the dream. I tried the spinnig top method (where you put your arms out and spin) - this usually prolongs the dream (according to research), but for me it stops the dreams. That didn't work.
I must have spent several minutes trying to get out of the dream, but couldn't. It got to the point where I thought, "Oh crap... maybe the reason I can't get out is that I'm dead."
Yikes!
But hey.... any dream is a good dream right??
