What are you already doing when studying?
On the whole the best thing to do is set aside regular time to study.
Start with a quick review of any notes that you made during the day.
Do a quick preview of what you plan to study.
Get on with the core subject. If you get stuck, try working on the easy part of the topic first, it often gets you on a roll to get the difficult bits out of the way.
Finish up with a quick review of any notes that you have made. If you made no notes do a review by writing a summary of what you just studied. 1 or 2 lines should be enough.
Do a quick preview for the following days lessons.
Use the memory supercharger; remind yourself that you want to recall the stuff you just studied during a test.
If you mind map your notes you will often find you have greater recall.
