my stuff came today, so i busted out tape 1. when i got to 1B, i started the game. most of you probably have, so i wont explain it. when i got my word in my head [had to think with the alphabet, E...L...elepant!], i imagined, as it said, that it was on the lower left side of the left page, and when i looked it up, 2 words from the bottom on the left side of the left page sat:

"el-e-phant (el'e fant) n. A large mammal having a long, flex-ible trunk and curved tusks."

how crazy is that? try # 2 and 3 didnt work for [hypothesis] 2 reasons.

1. i wasnt listening to paul guiding me through it and had forgotten some things, along with missing some steps.
2. the words i wanted [dusty and dog] were not in this dictionary, since they wouldnt need to be looked up often. [however i imaging that dusty was exactly where it should have been]

The dictionary that came with the course has more or less got every 5th word missing.

I realised some time later that my mind picking missing words was a ploy by it to go along with my doubts that I could play the dictionary game. I remember getting very irritated when my mind wouldn't give me the image or feeling for the location; it really went nope not there. It was the feeling or proof I was expecting, that prove I couldn't do it. I found that annoying at the time, but, upon reflection, my mind was right; it wasn't there.

I hope that dictionary is part of a cost-saving strategy.

To fit the case? It's great for the game. The missing words are valuable tools for learning to recognise your body mind response to 'bad questions' asked of a book or when you are posing a question that cannot be answered by the book.

In 'Agent's case. His reaction pin pointed where the answer should have been in the book; if it were there. While activating books he might have a similar experience. Diving into the part of the book where the answer 'should be' only to discover it is not there. Rather than getting frustrated at not finding the answer; the superreading and dipping can provide an insight that helps rephrase or change the question to obtain an even more meaningful answer.
