http://www.turnpoint.net/wireless/cantennahowto.html WiFi typically goes 100ft but with one of these antennae you can go like a kilometer. I'd try it on mine but I'm too lazy to go buy the connectors (or photoread, for that matter). From what I've heard, WiFi antenna-building is quite popular.
