Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer trouble with photofocus

I have tried the blip method, but i got haevy eyestrain and headache. After that i tried the X-method, but i am reading often single words. At the moment i try to relax my eyes with loosing the sharpness of my gaze. While PRing i'm often switch and mix the methods. Is this still a correct PF ? Can anyone post indications to detect right PF situations ? Please excuse my little english, i'm a german guy.

ohhh I when i was begging I also had eyestrain and headache, but after same "practice" it passed.
I think is just a matter of time to this things pass.

Relaxed soft focus where you look at all the words on the 2 pages of the book while flipping the pages.

If you are using the X-technique that is fine. If you lose the soft gaze because you start 'reading' turn the book upside down. Since you don't really want to read upsidedown it often becomes easier to hold the blip faster.

Check out some stereograms for playing with photofocus. When you are using parallel vision when you photoread you are in photofocus.

That link explans the parallel view and some ways to play with achieving it. Once you know how it feels to look at stereograms like that it becomes easier to know that you are in photofocus.

Hallo AlexK, I tried the stereograms,I can see the effects but its terrible for my eyes...its the same as the blib view, i get heavy eyestrain...

Then relax and use the X-technique. Works, just as well in my experience and lets the blip page show up when you are ready.

No need to rush to get the blip page, you'll be able to have many successful activation sessions with just the X-technique.

You learning with the German book or the English language version?

I read the german version and i have a viedeo of a PR seminar with Scheele from munich.

OK, I will try the x-technique. But one question: Which evidence says to me you are right in PF while PRing ?

Evidence that you are in photofocus while photoreading...

- You are relaxed
- You've entered the Accelerative Learning State
- You've stated your purpose and affirmation.
- Placed the tangerine.
- Are Looking at the pages with a soft gaze noticing the patterns of the white spaces
- Breathing deeply and evenly
- turning the pages to the rhythm of the chant.

You don't need to do all of the above perfectly... you just do them and then you are photoreading.

yep. Don't worry too much on PF, it is important yes. Activation is always the step in which makes the whole system "hard". PR is relatively simple. But activation is the most interactive part because you do talk to the author when you activate. It sounds corny but it's accually not taht bad.

Chang Nothing about the photoreading system is hard. In fact acivation is easier than reading. It's a matter of doing it, that's all.

You'd find activation just easy if you would just get the book and write down your trigger words. When you can name a book and show me the list of trigger words you've got your activation problems solved Chang. Stop making excuses and just get on with it. If you put in half as much effort into actually doing it, that you do for making excuses why you haven't activated. You'd have fully activated at least 3 of your textbooks by now.
