If you feel that you have everything you want/need to know then the book is fully activated for you. If you have doubts (and by your posting the question I would suggest that you are having doubts) I suggest a rapid read to assure yourself that you have in fact got all the information that you desire from the book.
You might find this necessary for a few books. Later you might just ask yourself 'what am I still missing? Or what else do I need or want to know? and find yourself opening the book to superread and dip for the additional information.
