I found that the trick in the beginning is to not spend any less time b/c of PR; use roughly the same time you'd spend with regular reading by doing all the steps and spending the rest of the time activating, mindmapping, and rapid reading. Once you get proficient at the system, you'll naturally be able to save more and more time. HTH.
