I didn't notice their language about the whole 9.6 pts. thing. It wouldn't surprise me, the Reinert studies only go so far. The technique, in light of these facts, probably doesn't improve IQ much more than 8-10 points. Still substantial, but not the 50-100 points Wenger indicated was eminently reasonabloe to suspect. the quote about clark kent sounded "fruity" to me by the above definition.

LOL-- that is true. It seems the author is a superman fan and he just couldn't help but squeeze that one in. ha...

In my opinion, it isn't saying 9.6 is a ceiling, rather it is simply saying that with 12 hours of use, this is the result you can expect. It doesn't say that the results stop there after.

Obviously, the law of diminishing returns applies to the whole Image Streaming phenomenon... the scale is the only unknown.

I'm getting The Mind Accelerator tomorrow-- will have lots to report come Sunday evening.

regards- BTW, I appreciate you taking part in these threads Kristoff, you're a good man & I enjoy reading about subjective opinion on this. Anyone who says opinions don't matter is living in a plastic bubble.

I have the material, and I must say it's an interesting read. It combines subconcious programming twice daily, iReading, and Imagestreaming. Basically it takes the best from Subliminal Dynamics(subconcious programming), iReading(The photoreading technique minus the tangerine technique and all the flowery NLP stuff Paul had incorporated into Photoreading) & Image streaming (Eistein Factor).

Opinions may differ, but I personally rather like it. It gives me a new way of looking at and using the photoreading steps without the "imagine a flower" type stuff. Also, I forgot that it incorporates the "Reality Map" and "Belief" concept borrowed from Centerpointe. I think it's a "Must Read" for those that are having problems with flowery approach. It can't hurt. Remain open minded.

Learning and discovery is all part of life.

I challenge you to be careful when you say that a step or process in the PhotoReading whole mind system is unnecessary or ineffective.

We taught PhotoReading to thousands of people over eight years before we released the first edition of the PhotoReading book in 1993 and then created the self-study. The system was originally based on modelling people who were able to blast through information at incredible speed with thorough comprehension in many situations. It was not based on theory. We went to theory to reinforce what we learned or to find answers to missing pieces.

Paul Scheele thought mind mapping could be very important to PhotoReading. Pete Bissonette thought it was dumb, but he did it any way. Several years later Pete had to go back to notes that were partially taken linearly and partially with mind maps. It took Pete some effort to reconstruct the information represented by linear notes, but zero effort for those taken mind mapping.

When you think something to be dumb, do it anyway and see if you can discover its value.

That said, the PhotoReading system involves a set of guidelines that work for most people who apply them. When something is not working, and you have certainly applied them as we suggest, then tweak the system until you get the results you want.

Dana:
I'm not knocking the system, photoreading is the system of preference for me but some things that works for other, does not necessarily work for me. There should be different approaches to any subject, just like there are many roads that lead to a perticular city. It's not the destination, but the journey that makes it memorable. There is always more than one way to do anything, this is about options. Borrow what works, disgard what doesn't. Volition provided another way of looking at the photoreading system. It mirrors the system all the way down to SR/Dipping.

I am intrigued by this....mind accelerator and I wish to abtain a copy for myself but like any first timer, I am kind of bent up on putting my credit card number online to a company I never had heard of and I dont know sufficient information about them such as where they are and so on. I have one account specifcially for ordering online and it is at 5 big ones because thats my staging area to send money out to online companies......safely......

Dude, Dana, PR'ing is not set in stone. If we want an advanced or more effective way to PR--I'm sure it's possible, look at Pete--we have to EXPERIMENT. How do you think PR'ing was invented?

And besides that, the book says to be playful.

So, 3DLifestyle, what exactly are the steps in this other thing? I'm not familiar with Subliminal Dynamics. Does the it work?
