Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer Memorizing a menu! HELP plz!

I just got a job at Chillies as a waiter and I have to memorize the menu! Well the menu is pretty big and I don't know how to tacal it. I have photoread it quite a bit but I just can't seem to remeber it. I have to know all the abbrevations for the food items and I have to know everything that it comes with. Yesterday I spent over 10 hours trying to learn it. I got to half the menu when I started to forget what I had learned in the beginning. I have been listening to the Memory supercharger and that seems to really help but I need to learn this menu as soon as possible. If anyone has any ideas on how to memorize a menu and every ingredient that comes with every item I would be greatly in debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe in this case PR isn't what you're looking for and you'd be better off using a 'standard' mnemonic system.

So 1. Look for patterns in the info. 2. Break it down eg just try and learn say the starters for now 3. Use a mnemonic to learn what info you've identified.4. Test yourself!

In this case, I strongly recommend you to purchase "The Memory Book" by Harry Lorrayne. It uses powerful traditional memory techniques, and it´s a perfect complement to photoreading and works beutifully when memoring lists etc. I use it myself daily.

Thanks Jonatan, I think I will get it. Well I am completly done with the menu. I love photoreading! When I was trying to complete the menu and I couldn't remeber an ingredient, I relaxed and the missing one's just floated into my mind! These are the best results I have seen from photreading yet.
