Doublemindedness is a term used in James 1:8 and 4:8, also Psalms 119:113. Many Christians escribe this as embracing other philosophies(spiritual adultery) instead of vasillation from the faith in God's power to bestow wisdom,deliverance,etc. I know a lot of Christians use passages like this as an excuse to remain ignorant and lazy. Many of this type of Christian's don't know much about the Bible they profess to love, either,choosing to be spoon-fed by pastors and other auth. figures.
