Out of curiosity, how fast do you guys type?

Have you guys ever heard of the DVORAK keyboard--a different layout than the regular QWERTY way?

You don't have to buy a new keyboard--just change the layout on your PC without changing keyboards.

I have been learning it--it's way faster, easier, and less harder on your fingers because 70% of the keys you type are on the home row--whereas normally only 30% of the keys you type are on the home row.

Basically food for thought, new things to learn...hey, you learn something new every day, right?

Wait, I forgot to answer my own question...
I type around 40 words a minute, 50 tops--yes, I'm not a aim or messenger user, but I do type a lot...

Very funny Chang
Seriously though, do you type Dvorak? How fast?

As for excerises, who needs exercises? As I say, I already type regular pretty fast, so I just memorized the Dvorak keys by typing in random things.

BTW it is very easy to switch both the computer and my typing between regular and dvorak.

I type, when I'm intentionally trying - at around 90-95WPM. I don't think I need a different keyboard at all. I believe this layout will do just fine.
