Chang liu, I've already mentioned to you people pick up on lies. It does make personal communication even more difficult when you sense that people do not believe you.

Go and photoread your books in the library. If someone asks what you're doing you can look at it as an opportunity to make a new friend. All you need to say is 'I am using a technique called photoreading'.

No problems for me photoreading in public...

Ive photoread in Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, and Borders. No dirty looks, and very very few questions.

Dana, very cool BTW, 1987 is a good year--I was born then...

I would always find some place off to the side to do my PRing, like this obscure little corner of the library where I don't see many people pass by (and less distractions too.)

Personally, I'm more concerned with weird looks if I were to Imagestream in my own house (unless my roommates are all gone..), let alone in the public since IS-ing requires tape recording descriptions of any random image that appears in your mind

I get people ask me stuff like that. Usually, in my experience, if a person has the courage to approach a perfect stranger, and ask about it, that signifies a basically open mind. When I get the naysayers who say crap like "but if you don't know what it says when you're done, it doesn't work." I offer to let them read my copy of the PWMS 3rd edition book, and tell them to decide after they've read it. So far i've only had two people take me up on the offer. and neither actually read it. gave it back 2 weeks later and said "i never had a chance to read it".
But, I can't give up on people. I just don't let them get to me. I've already proven to MYSELF that the PR step DOES work.
