If you are going on to get your PhD, you've got to be halfway smart, which presents problems. Instead of analyzing PhotoReading, a process that is quite paradoxical, get into its experience. Prove it to yourself. Live it.
People come to this Forum for support and motivation. Honor that.
If you want to challenge people's thinking, do so. But in a way has has some good.
Challenge yourself. What would happen if in the upcoming semester you choose one class... And for that class you go to the library and PhotoRead 10 books a day on that topic. Spend only a minute or two on the first steps, and then PhotoRead. Activate only if you are really drawn to the book. It will blow you away.

BillyRD: in my early days I PhotoRead 10+ books a day for several months. That first year I did 1300-1500 books. The more I PhotoRead, the more bouts of spontaneous activation.
For books that you want to activate, activate until the book gels for you. See the article in the PhotoReading section of the website call "Works on all material," and read the 5-day PhotoReading test in the book for thoughts on activating over several days.
