When you want something really badly you often wind up pushing it away from you.

Just photoread 3 books (250 pages approx.)a day without activating since each book takes about 3 minutes that is about ten minutes of practice. Keep photoreading and activating the regular stuff. Remember to ask yourself what do you really want/need to know from this text? The allow yourself to zero in on that with a superread intuition or just plain looking it up in the index or content of the book.

I am assuming that the 20 to 30 books you photoread haven't been activated. If they have you might need to have a closer look at your skills... even at an hour per book, on average, you would have spent 20 to 30 hours on your reading material. In that time the average reader is lucky to have read 2 to 3 books. Not many people read that many books in a week... so perhaps you are short changing yourself on noticing the skills you have already acquired?

If you just photoread them, then you are already on the road to doing what Pete has suggested.

Also remember books like textbooks usually take longer to read normally. Most people would need 25 to 50 hours on a textbook (not that they always do). A photoreader would expect to spend 5 to 10 hours (depending on how new the subject is to you) on this type of book. Since most people rarely go through the whole textbook they have no scale to compare what their ability would be using the photoreading system. This is were you need to consider; would you have even read as much of the book if you didn't use photoreading? Some people would honestly say, 'nope, I just go to the lectures and hope for the best."

One way to get unstuck on getting the system to work for you is to do the 5 day test (page 76 -77). Do that as suggested with one book for 5 days. Remember to stick to the time limits.
