I was hoping that somebody could describe these hallucinations, dreams and mind chatter incidents, as they sound rather disturbing. Isn't there a way to get rid of them and are there any ways to avoid experiencing them in the first place?

It does sound odd, I just want to be sure that I'm not learning something that could lead to future problems.

Everyone has these"hallucination"; they were just simply less pronounced in the past. Perhaps take a look at "Einstein Factor" and read about imagestreaming, which helps you tap into these hallucinations to find answers from your subconscious mind.

"Mind Chatter" is just a bunch of distracting thoughts when you try to concentrate on seomthing else.
Say you sit down to read a book, and suddenly you think about what you're going to have for dinner - that's mind chatter.
No hallucinations, blackouts; just thoughts.

Mind chatter is just part of the 60.000 or so thoughts a day that the average person has about this that or the other.

If you want to avoid problems with things like hallucinations, or scarey dreams don't go looking for them in the first place. "The only thing you have to fear is fear itself."

They are generally personal experiences associated with dreaming and the interesting thing is that anything that was ever mentioned on the forum; well... the individuals who experienced them survived to tell the tale and often learnt something interesting from them.

Since they are something created by the individual in one form or another it would be the individual who can avoid them. Dreams are influenced a lot by your personal experiences and that includes what you watch for movies, the type of books you generally read and the influence of the people you hang around with along with your personal beliefs.

Hallucinations?? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone ever getting hallucinations from PhotoReading. A high concentration of images/stray thoughts, yes. Intense, vivid, and sometimes disturbing dreams(depending on the book), yes. But never hallucinations. Do you guys mean something different??
