You may listen to the words when you dip. While superreading you are still going too fast to consciously read and say everything you see.
That's a good part about photoreading... if you habitually talk to yourself (subvocalise) while you read you can still get through the text at least 3 times faster than with regular reading. When you dip you only read a bit and then move on. A bit being perhaps one sentence on a page, or one paragraph or one whole page in the whole book.
The idea is to keep yourself moving. There is no need to fight to stop talking to yourself while you read. It's just a matter of moving on. Not reading stuff slowly that you already know.
