My first post on these forums, so don't be too hard on me 
On a related note to the parent thread, I was wondering if photoreading w/o activation could be of any help for, say, improving my understanding of "advanced engineering mathematics" prior to going to class...
I too am a newbie around here, and don't quite grasp all the subtleties of the system yet...
Will 'activation' happen by keywords the teacher might say in class? And are there any benefits to photoreading the material more than once (like twice a week for the duration of the class) ?
And, does any one have any tips on how to best PR math books containing many formulae?
