I've been trying the photoreading for about a 3 weeks, but I don't think I really understand the activation process (and the goals before you read). But I have noticed that my reading speed has increased overall

So that's good.
Now, I have a murder mystery that I'm trying to read, but what should be my goals when I'm trying to read? Should I be saying to myself - " I want to read a good story, I want to find out who did it . . . "
And when I'm activiating this type of book, do I draw out a mind map?
Also when I'm photoreading, I have trouble looking through the book like the book suggests, but I can shift my focus so everything is blurry, and I can see all four corners of the book, but it doesn't feel like anything is really being absorbed . . . But occasionally my head does feel funny afterwards (sometimes) . . .
Any help would be appreciated . . . either way, my reading speed improved so I'm still happy.
