I asked many months ago (I think)and now several weeks ago because my topic wasnt named right (check this out being the topic name) how to lower effectly, your brain waves. I've found the answer and proven it worked.
Heres the method:

Place your palm of your hand on your forehead. There is a section of the brain called the "corrector" which is 3-5 cm beneth your palm.

then rub your forehead several times and now imagine this small section of your brain (guessing the size of your forehead) turning to a block of ice.

Through that method you will consciously lower the temporature of your brain, hence lowering the brain waves. (HEHEHE)

Also you can do the exact reverse, make your brain warm thereby increasing traffic thought.

Also, hidden positive effects may and will occur. Enjoy it, its fun. Some side effects will include your hands becoming cold(for some reason or another). I can now use CHI energy to lower or raise the temperature of my hands. Also I will later disclose the answer to the question I have been seeking to for years, How do we increase our IQ?

How can you tell if your brain waves have been lowered, are there common charecteristics to each brain wave state?

What is the benefit of lowering or raising brain waves? What is the goal in doing that?
Just Wondering.

You can put yourself into different states which can serve different purposes.

There really is no conventional way to know for sure. However, you can get a rough idea. When you perform the exercise, you will slow down your thoughts and if you can hold mental silence (or think of nothing) for about thirty seconds then you will feel a change of state. Worked for me, it takes several tries to effectively drop your brain waves. Also I am working on how to anchor the theta state so it'll be in easy access of relaxtion.

Just taking your eyes off hard focusing increases alpha wave functions. Have you ever noticed someone daydreaming where they get what they call 'this glazed look in their eyes'? That person has an increase of Alpha functioning and the glazed look is due to the fact that they are not focusing on the 'external' environment but an interal one.

Excellent idea. Ty for the tip.
I "played" serveral times with your strategy ("brain cooling") this week. Today i combined it the first time with the tangerine. *WOW*!!! In this moment i recognized one of my top learning states, which was until your tip/trick, not under "control".

TYVVM, Kenji. Best greetings, Schummel

Addition:
I repeated the combination tangerine + brain cooling today (sunday) again.
It is an ideal state for me to "organize my thoughts", a kind of mental laboratory. In this state it is easy for me, to work with more than one picture at the same time.
Wow, i like that state.

I am glad that what I have put forth for the use of the people here at....eh....this Photoreading forum was well appriciated. I forgot, how to do the Tangerine technique, I am busy and since my friend borrowed it and he never returned it.

Was it like.....using a small orange, feeling its weight and smelling its...precarious (hey theres a word!) odor and touching the back top of your head and imagining it that the thing was on that part of my head? Did I also have to like see what the tangerine sees?

Anyways I am working on anchoring the Theta State and I have tried numerous times. It involves me droping to near sleep states and when its just right,I have to anchor that state. I have so far not been succesful as of the three times I tried so far, I feel asleep for three hours. When we wake up, we are in the Alpha state so :/

Just go into photofocus and flip the pages its surprising how fast you get into the right state for photoreading.

Your mind will aways provide the right brainwave pattern - just follow the steps.

The more you worry about getting in the right state the less you are going to be there. The right state is free from worries and just plain doing. Once you just start doing you happen to fall into something like the flow state. There the mind is doing what it has to do. Consciously you only need to be aware of the steps.
