Personally I'd do one week one subject and then leave it for a week. By that I mean say apply DL to 12 to 20 books on one subject over 2 to 4 days and then leave it. Let your mind process it and see how it goes. Also give it a reasonable break between subject. At least a week to allow things to surface.
While I know the mind is capable of a lot whatever changes we make in our lives we still need to give it time to become part of our live. That's why we may not notice the positive effect of our direct learning project for a month.
I think that playing with too many projects in the same week will probably cause it to take longer to notice the results. The inner mind has to process it and help us to intergrate it in our lives. Since you're greatly ambitious to have success with direct learning add borrowed genius to the session. After completing your DL on books, finish with a borrowed genius session and then when things start to surface and you are noticing the benefits of the sessions go on to the next project. Otherwise I'd set up a timetable allowing 2 weeks between each project. If I don't see any results after 21 days repeat the DL.
