Hi everyone
I see that a few of you battle with controlling your dreams. I've learnt to take stern control of alot of things by a simple trick. I can't remember if I got this trick from Dream Play, but it works well.
While you're dreaming, state(affirm) to the dream scene, whatever you want to occur. For instance, you're in a shopping center and you see somebody who you wish to approach you. Simply affirm "I want that person to come over to me now, that person is coming this way." Be firm, tolerate little differences to what you want to happen. You can even dress people up with certain knowledge or wisdom. I haven't yet had the awareness to create the whole situation. I think control comes a step at a time by controlling little things first.
Periods of commanding control in dreams are better if they're balanced with relaxed receptivity to what your mind is naturally taking care of(the uncontrolled dream).
I also find that napping during the day with the cars, birds, sunlight and other small distractions keeps you aware of your dreams.
The first step however before controlling your dreams, is to be aware that you're dreaming and not in "reality". To be aware that you're dreaming you have to find a few things happening in your surroundings that are wierd, or different to reality, for instance a person is wearing a watch on his forehead, or a heart on his sleeve..anything unusual. Another way is see if you can make something wierd happen, by exercising the power of your mind. Then start to control it more if it is a dream.
Hope this helps.
Grant.
