With a goal like yours, I would use NLP. I would visualize what a person (me) would be like (do) if I had that mastery or what I do to get that mastery.
How do you know you've mastered something? You can demonstrate your master.
How do you acquire that need skill? Well, with chemistry you study.
You can try DL the chemistry material, but branch out to some layman chemistry material. Use your chemistry knowledge. Become a chemistry nerd and see chemistry in everything.
