Hello people. I noticed my vision zooms in when focusing on objects or stimuli to the point I'm not consciously aware of other stuff in proximity. It's like sniper scope zoom where the peripheral vision becomes very narrow. Now, I'm wondering how PR works with the blip. Do you actually see-be-aware of the entire page, right to the corners? See all the words on the page, but not entirely 100% clearly.

I feel my focusing is bad. Needs major improvement because my vision keeps zoning into a certain area when I read. Meaning, I could see about 2-3 lines on the page with 100% clarity, but I do not see clearly ALL the words in groups of 2-3 lines each because I"m moving my eyes from left to right.

I hope I"m making sense.

I appreciate any input. I would like to compare the technical aspects of visual perception between non-PR and PR.

The narrowing of focus that you describe is related to regular reading as it is taught in school. There we were taught to narrowly focus on one word at a time.

PhotoReading is done by allowing our gaze to relax and open up so that we see become aware of the entire page. Yes we see all the words and they may be somewhat fuzzy.

Remember with photoreading we are not interested in becoming consciously aware of the words on the page until we start activating.
