flex22, not stories of my own. I know Dan uses PWMS everyday to great success. I suspect it just allows him to get what needs to be done in the time he has.
The job will expand to use all the time, if you allow it.
I like the idea of layer approach to things. Before I'd heard of activation in layers, I'd been told by a person that he was always ready for a 3 min, a 30 min., or a 3 hour presentation on himself or his current work area. I'd noticed the work expanding to fill the time law before, and have applied the 3 min., 30 min., and 3 hour approach to work. And I try to be aware of the phrase "good enough", since my personal tendency to try for perfection. And perfect come in dimishing returns on the resources you commit. So be aware of what is good enough.
bla bla bla... the idea is try the system, and try layering. If you had to write the exam on the course in a hour, but didn't know what the comprehension level for passing was (it may be only 2%, you don't know what is good enough until you've gotten through), then PR is the best tool to have in preparing. Use the system and all the other great stuff Alexk always says.
Good luck.
Alexk, when you started talking about changing feelings I have to agree it is easier said than done. Then when you started talking about battling your feelings I was getting worried. However, you came around to what I've found to be the best approach. Don't try and eliminate the current feelings, travel towards the desired feelings. Visualize where you want to be and you'll get there faster and easier than if you spend your time looking at where you don't want to be.
(This is a little reminder I needed right now. Thanks for helping get where I needed to be.)
Good luck all,
