You're right every word in any book is a potential trigger word. When you're looking for trigger words pick the ones that jump out at you, interest you or somehow look like you see that word a lot. Give yourself a time limit, e.g. 5 minutes and pull out 20 to 25 words. This forces you to take the words as they come and not judge them. That way you can rest assured they are suitable trigger words.

When it comes to mind mapping however you create your own really is the best way to go about it. The mind map book is great for getting ideas and getting started however it scares people a lot too. They feel that unless their mind map is as perfect as the ones in the book they are not useful. This is false. Whatever you draw on your mind map is right for you. Use humour, symbols, lines and colour to your hearts content and have fun with it.
