Hi, I'm new to PhotoReading. I wonder specifically how it revolutionized not just people's way of reading, but living. Also, how much can learning times vary?

Well, I'm currently experiecning sea-sickness from PhotoReading all those classics from around the time where if the book didn't take place on a boat, it wasn't worth writing.

My cultural literacy skills are increasing dramatically from having PhotoRead so many literary classics. I'm starting to slow down and really dip into Gulliver's Travels. It's a wonderful book.

I've been doing this for about 3 weeks and realizing that I retain a great amount of information by photoreading and then speed reading. I remember random dates for things I've read and I've never been able to do that. I'm looking forward to more results.

By what do you mean by "speedreading"? What speedreading technique do you use?. The reason why I ask is, there are many!!!

Photoreading has made a huge difference in my life. I have a vision disorder which make regular reading very difficult. Due to a concussion when I was 16 I see double up close and at a distance. It is called convergence insufficiency. My eyes naturally diverge when I look at anything up close. I have had two surgeries and wear prism reading glasses that change the focal point to deal with this.
When I was in college I would only take 9-12 hours a semester because I was such a slow reader 80-110 words a minute. Plus, the tension headaches would become unbearable. It also would occasionally give me migranes. I flunked out of 2 attempts at grad school because I simply could not keep up with the reading. I knew that if I was going to ever have any hope at grad school at all I would have to read faster without straining my eyes anymore. I looked around on the internet for a long time until I found the PRWMS PLC. I was amazed at the claims that were made. I didn't really have the money at the time for it, but I got it in few months(thanks to my wife and I seeing the infomercial late one night).
Since I have learned to Photoread at decent level, I know have a regular reading speed of 600=900 wpm depending on the material. When I fully appply the entire system I finish a book in about a 1/5-1/10 of the time it used to take me. The difference this system have made in my life is beyond description. Without the PRWMS I would have no hope of grad school or learning the things I want to learn. This system has made a lifechanging difference in my life.

WOW, I don't think you could ask for a better example than the previous post EricML.

Personally, it's too early for me to say what difference it has had.Although changes are definatley occuring, I wouldn't care to describe them just yet.

The previous stories have certainly inspired me though.
