I too, have many problems and doubts concerning the home study course. I'm desperate for an easier way to get things done with so much to do!! I certainly wish it were a lot easier.
Anyway, for the blip page, I've diverged my eyes my whole life, so I have some exp with that. 
Try this...look at any single object, close or cover one eye, then uncover it. Double objects should appear. Even if you still see one, they should have seemed to merge from 2 to 1 while uncovering one eye. Let me know if it works!
