that's exactly it! It is so much fun looking at a good mindmap with colours and symbols and funny drawings!!

I took an accelerated/intensive course in communicology and had as much fun working with my mindmaps as attending lectures and working with the material and when I got my certification people were actually talking about *buying* my overview mindmap of the whole course - to hang on their wall *lol*. It was fun and exciting and I was SO surprised that my mindmap would elicit such a response

Thanks guys for the great input. I've received the same response from my fellow classmates. Whenever they see me taking notes, they say, "Wow, what a creative way for taking notes! It probably works better than what we do!"
Ivan, I do the same thing with my mind maps. I do them as the lecture goes. So far, it works. And I can imagine myself not being bored from reading my mind maps as opposed to linear notes during exam time.

You are very wellcomed. I use mind maps all the time now. It is wonderful. It did take me quiet some time to learn them (i still learn today as i advance) but one you get used to it is great. I tip of mine is that i found it to draw pictures or clues instantly as you are creating the mind map instead of drawing later. You may want to edit your mind map later on during a review proccess.
