Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer PR in Public

Hey, I consider the library the most handy place to use any PhotoReading skill. However, I'm scared to use it around other people in public.
I'm always worrying that someone will openly question or ridicule my techniques, especially if I'm seen PRing upside-down, which I usually prefer to do. I can't PR without being somewhat self-conscious. Because of this, I feel my PRing is not working because I'm not relaxing. I know that it's ridiculous to feel this way, but I want to know what others think about it.

I'm photoreading in Barnes and Noble RIGHT NOW. I do it all the time.

Let's take a look at this step-by-step.

If you PREPARE in public, people will just assume you're ___________.

If you PREVIEW in public, people will just assume you're ___________.

If you PHOTOREAD in public, people will just assume you're ___________.

If you ACTIVATE in public, people will just assume you're ___________.

If you RAPID-READ in piblic, people will just assume you're ___________.

Answer these questions yourself. My answers are 1.) relaxing, 2.trying to figure out if the book is worth reading, 3.an extremely fast reader, 4.skimming through the book, 5.)Reading.

My experience.. people don't ask. Probably because everyone who goes into a library has their own reason. I know when I'm going through books I'm not noticing what people around me so there could be other photoreaders for all I know.

Odd as it sounds find a fairly busy area to photoread. No one will ask any questions because they don't want to draw attention to themselves either.

Also chances are they wont even care. They probabaly wont even notice the book is upside down, and even if they didnt they would probably not care. Worse comes to worse someone comes up to you and asks what you are doing. "Fear is the mind killer" - Dune. Good Luck

Well EricML, everyone here says that no one at the library will notice or care what your doing. You say you have a fear. I see great opportunity. You've a chance to face a fear in a very safe environment.

Hehe. I guess! I shouldn't take PRing so seriously, I realize. Connecting my mood with my results was not a good idea, which I had done before. But, I really appreciate the encouragement, guys.

If you are really concerned... wear sunglasses and a wig

While you are at it, wear a hooded sweatjacket. Pull the hood over your head.
