Try skittering rather than superreading and dipping. That way you may narrow your field of vision.
During superreading you are reading without subvocalisation and not necessarily comprehending much of it because you are looking for specific answers to your mind probing questions.
The thing is you're not trying to comprehend everything in the book in one activation pass of say 3 hours. You do multiple passes (this means that you can happen to see some pages 2,3, 4, 6, or 8 times during activation. You're not wasting time looking at redundant information that you already know you're looking for what you need to know to comprehend the message that the author is conveying in the time you have available to the level of comprehension that is right for you.
Again, I suggest you try skittering rather than superreading and dipping. Do multiple passes you are exposed to the text more than once when doing it in multiple passes so how can you really miss anything that way?
To get over the hang up of fearing you missed something do the 5 day test on a book and follow it up with a rapid read. Do this for 3 to 5 books or as many as you want. You will quickly discover that the time you spend looking for that last 20% of the information is redundant. You will have already gained the 80% (or more) that you really need to know in about 1/3 the time.
