Sorry if the title is misleading. I need advice and suggestions. I am nearing the end of my semester and in the past month or so I've gotten extremely psyched up about accelerated learning. Well its a little late o try photoreading stuff, plus i havent really started practicing yet i have to read through teh book a few mre times. But i have about a 6 week winter break. First off i got Infinite Memory and Immersion Protocol from Dan Lee Dimke, Inchiki Gaijin gave good reviews of it. A side interest of mine is foreing language learning but both prgrams are applicable to learning in general. I got Einstein Factor. Im gonna take out some books on mindmapping from the library. Basically I want to incoropate all of this stuff into a daily routine. Get accustomed to photoreading, imagestreaming, making mind maps, developing my memory. Im thinking about photoreading 3 books on each of next semesters classes everyday. Just photoreading a lot of books on econ, u.s. politics, viruses and diseases. Maybe pleasure read a few good books on basic econ, us politics, virus and disease. I want to use the winter break to revamp my thinking studying notetaking skills. I want to use photoreading to kind prepare myself ahead of time so i can have background knowledge in the classes im taking in teh spring. Besides that im gonna throw in some chess and puzzles and stuff, pleasue reading, fiction novels (stephen king, mysteries etc.), possibly start using some pimsleur tapes, start writing short stories or think up an idea for a novel. (I have a lot of goals). Anyway my main priority is my learning thinking study skills and "getting ahead"/being prepared for next semester. As well as trying to eat well and exercise regularly (sound mind in a sound body). If anyone has any suggestions on using photoreading mindmaps noteaking studying in college all are welcome. Thanks.

I highly recommend Tony Buzan's 'The mindmap book'. I've only recently realised how in-depth it is. After doing the exercises to build your mindmapping skills, you might like to look more at the chapter on planning a schedule. This might help you organise your goals, to see how they interrelate with each other and how you can use your time effectively.

TK421; i would start learning photoreading with something very basic. Try to find a book on a subject that interests you on a basic level. You do not want to try to learn photoreading on a complex, complicated, difficult book. One day with diligence, discipline & effort you will be using photoreading on complex books but first things first. It is important for you to have some small successes first.First we learn to crawl, then we learn to walk, then we learn to run. This same principle would apply to you in your quest to master photoreading. You do not just start out with the most difficult thing (the thing being a difficult book)and instantly have success.A great idea would be to use photoreading on simple books get used to using the photoreading system and feeling comfortable using the skills plus you don't have this pressure stressful situation where you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself to make this work.Get really accustomed to using the photoreading system on simple books and then one day you will be able to move up to difficult books and use the photoreading system for school. photoread4me.
